Merav Cohen Vanunu, crimson and green acrylic abstract with gold leaf on kraft paper

Merav Cohen Vanunu

Large-scale abstracts that make you think, in calm, harmonious color.

Technique: Acrylic on paper or canvas

Merav Cohen Vanunu was born in Jerusalem and started on her path as an artist at 14, studying painting with the artist Sima Mimran and trying out a range of drawing and painting techniques. Over the years painting stayed part of her life as a form of therapy, and recently she has come to see making art as her way of life.

Her abstract style invites the viewer to think and imagine. Merav works mainly in acrylic on kraft paper or canvas and brings paper collage and gold leaf into her pieces.

She chooses color combinations with a calm harmony. Her subjects are abstract, with a wink that gets you thinking. Most of her pieces are large and suit spacious rooms where they have space to stand out.
